Adjusting rear suspension on 2024 road glide for added weight

I've got a 2024 Road Glide, and I just realized that my weight is over the maximum limit listed in the owner's manual for the rear suspension setup. I've been told I should upgrade the suspension, but I don't have the funds for that right now. Is there a way I can adjust the suspension myself to accommodate my weight? I'd really appreciaet any tips you might have

Yep you can actually adjust preload on your rear shocks to handle the extra weight. It's okay if you don't have the funds! Don't worry about that yet but then again upgraded shocks are worth saving for!

I was in the same spot last year with my Road Glide, I adjusted the rear shock preload myself using the manual's instructions, and it made a noticeable difference handling my weight until I could upgrade later

Had the same problem when I started packing more stuff for long trips. If you're not ready to upgrade, try adjusting the rear shocks to handle the extra weight like what the rest here mentioned. Just make sure both sides are set the same. It's an easy fix and really helped my ride feel better.
