I trailered the bike down for some much-needed wind therapy and it was all set to ride, I fired her up Monday morning, made it half a block… then boom, there was so much grinding, clattering, and a noise like the primary was about to explode...it was not something I could fix in the driveway, and I am thinking it's the stator or compensator. Anyone near St. Augustine, FL know where I can rent a bike? 2020 Limited with 16,000 miles

That sounds tough! Given all the grinding and clattering, it might really be the stator or compensator at fault. If you're looking to rent, you could try EagleRider in St. Augustine for some Harleys, or check out Ancient City Slingshots if you want to try something a bit unique. I hope you're back on the road in no time

Dang, talk about a buzzkill at the worst time, definitely not a roadside fix. Wish I was closer to help, but check out Adamec or EagleRider in the area, they might have something to get you back in the wind quick. Fingers crossed you're riding again real soon

I'll check out EagleRider and Ancient City Slingshots, I just need something to ride while mine's down, I am hoping it's not a full teardown

Total buzzkill for sure. I'll look into Adamec too, I hadn't thought of them

a motorcycle rental? if you don't like eagleryder, try Powersports St. Augustine. I'm sure they have some options

Rough break, as you mentioned, it might be the stator or compensator. Look at EagleRider or Riders Share for rentals close to St. Augustine.About 45 minutes away is Adamec H-D in Jax,which typicaly has touring bikes as well. I hope you soon return to the wind

So I checked out EagleRider and Adamec H-D, found a rental, and got back on the road, I also had my bike fixed and it turned out to be the stator, it is feeling great now
